Working Student - Business Case & Network Analysis
- Hybrid
- Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands
- Network Development
Job description
Join Fastned at the forefront of Europe’s electric vehicle and charging infrastructure revolution! Since 2012, Fastned has been building and operating a rapidly growing network of iconic fast-charging stations powered entirely by solar and wind energy — now spanning over 400 stations across nine countries in Europe. Our goal is 1,000 stations in prime locations. To get there, every decision needs to be grounded in solid analysis. That's where you come in, and where you'll have real impact.
As our Working Student Business Case & Network Analysis, you will drive the analyses that help determine where to build next, and why. In the Projects & Excellence team, you will work directly within the business case workflow: building and maintaining financial models, digging into the assumptions behind them, and translating questions from Expansion Managers across Europe into clear, data-backed answers. You will be working in a fast-growing European company listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, where people roll up their sleeves and seize opportunities wherever they come.
What you’ll be doing
Evaluate growth drivers in the e-mobility industry;
Conduct analyses to help win sites and tenders;
Develop and maintain the business case for new charging stations;
Regularly coordinate with the Network Development team on all analyses, helping to interpret findings into clear, actionable insights.
Who we are looking for
You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Finance, Corporate Finance, Economics, Business Economics, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
You have an analytical mindset and you are curious by nature. You like to break down complex questions into assumptions, data needs, and models.
You are comfortable with financial modeling and know your way around investment criteria like NPV and IRR.
Excel holds no secrets to you; experience building or navigating financial models is a plus.
You are fluent in English.
You are available for at least 2 days per week alongside your studies.
You are based in the Amsterdam region.
You are motivated by Fastned's mission and excited about the energy transition.
What you get out of it
Beyond a meaningful working student role at a company actively accelerating Europe's energy transition, here's what we offer:
Flexibility that fits your schedule. We'll coordinate your working hours around your studies, no forced trade-offs between work and university.
Daily lunches, snacks and drinks at our Amsterdam office.
Break a sweat and improve your well-being with our Urban Sports Club Subscription and additional weekly fitness classes (kickboxing & bootcamp) led by professional trainers.
Mental Wellbeing with nilo health: Access to a confidential mental health platform offering 1-on-1 coaching with psychologists, group sessions, and a variety of digital self-care tools.
Real responsibility from day one. At Fastned, we don't believe in busywork. We want you to think like a founder! Your input matters, and you'll be expected to take ownership. Your analyses will influence where Fastned builds next.
An inside view of scaling a listed company. Fastned is listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange and growing rapidly across Europe. There are few better places to see what scaling a purpose-driven business actually looks like in practice.
An hourly salary of €16,25 gross (+ holiday pay).
