Job description

Join a fast-growing, listed company with a purpose! Fastned owns and operates a network of 300+ fast charging stations across Europe, allowing electric vehicle drivers to charge their car with 100% green energy. Our goal is a European network of 1000 fast charging stations in prime locations, where all electric vehicles can charge with renewable energy from the sun and wind. We have recently been voted best charging network in the UK, France and the Netherlands. If you want to make a difference and work in an informal, international scale-up environment with future prospects, then read on!

Your role

The Permit Case Manager will play a critical role in accelerating the permitting process for our fast-charging station network. This position requires a proactive and adaptable individual who can effectively navigate complex regulatory environments and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including municipalities, permitting authorities, residents, and internal teams. The primary goal is to streamline the permitting process, ensuring timely approvals and minimizing delays.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee and optimize the permitting process for new fast-charging stations and shops, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with all applicable regulations.

  • Monitor permit status, identify potential roadblocks, and work proactively to maintain progress, ensuring accurate records are kept for all permitting activities and communications.

  • Research and interpret local ordinances, zoning laws, and environmental requirements relevant to each site.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders—including municipalities, permitting authorities, and community members—while building strong relationships, addressing concerns proactively, and helping to resolve issues early to prevent permit appeals.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Network Development, Location Design, Construction Management and Public Affairs) to align plans and timelines.
