Your role
As Head of Marketing at Fastned, you are the driving force behind our European marketing central team. You develop a strategy on how we stay relevant in the marketing channel mix evaluation with a heavy focus on digital marketing and CRM. You focus on developing central campaign toolkits based on consumer insights that are scalable across our markets.
You will lead a team of central marketing managers who develop and own our pan-European marketing approach across disciplines such as digital marketing, global campaigns & trade marketing & activations. At the same time, you are a key partner to the country marketing managers who bring Fastned's brand to life on the ground in each local market, supporting them with toolboxes, strategy, and expertise.
As Head of Marketing, you are one of the key leaders within the Marketing & Communications department, working in close partnership with the Head of PR & Communications and the Head of Marketing Creation, together building an integrated and high-impact commercial communications machine.
So what kind of things will you be doing?
Develop the European central marketing strategy: Define and drive Fastned's marketing strategy across Europe, setting the direction for brand building, consumer acquisition, and market positioning in all our key markets together with Marketing & Communication leadership team.
Lead the central marketing team: Lead, coach, and develop a team of central marketing managers, creating a culture of ownership, creative ambition, and data-driven decision making together with how to develop more efficient toolkits enrich our CRM program both for B2B and B2C.
Partner with country marketing managers: Work closely with the country marketing managers across Europe to ensure the global strategy lands effectively in local markets, providing them with the right toolboxes, frameworks, and support;
Integrated collaboration: Partner closely with the Head of PR & Communications and the Head of Marketing Creation to deliver fully integrated campaigns that are both strategically sharp and creatively outstanding;
Brand stewardship at European level: Be the guardian of the Fastned brand across all markets, ensuring consistency in positioning, tone of voice, and visual identity across every touchpoint;
Drive growth across markets: Identify the best opportunities to grow brand recognition and consumer conversion (including app registrations), translating European insights and market data into concrete plans and KPIs;
Campaign strategy and oversight: Oversee the development and execution of European marketing campaigns, including global toolboxes that country teams can localise and activate;
Agency & partner management: Lead strategic relationships with European media agencies and external partners, briefing and collaborating with the in-house creative team;
Market intelligence: Monitor market developments, competitive dynamics, and consumer trends across our European markets to ensure Fastned remains strongly and relevantly positioned;
Budget & performance management: Own and manage the European marketing budget, report on performance and impact to senior leadership, and continuously optimise investment across markets.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a marketing leader with a proven track record of building brands at scale across multiple markets. You combine strong strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial, hands-on mentality and bring additional digital marketing experience. You know how to inspire a team, align diverse stakeholders, and make things happen in a fast-moving, purpose-driven environment.
Additionally, you bring along the following:
A genuine affinity for Fastned's mission: accelerating the transition to electric mobility;
10+ years of relevant experience in marketing and/or branding, with +2 years in a leadership role;
Proven experience in multi-market or European brand building in a B2C environment (B2B2C experience is a plus);
Strong analytical mindset: you turn data, consumer research, and market insights into sharp priorities, plans, and KPIs;
Experience leading and developing a team of marketing professionals;
Excellent stakeholder management skills: you are equally comfortable working with country teams on local execution as you are presenting strategy to the Executive team;
Experience managing agencies and working alongside in-house creative teams;
Fluent English is required; Dutch or another European language is a strong plus;
