Working Student: Funding & Investor Relations

You role

As a Funding & Investor Relations Working Student your prime responsibility will be to support the F&IR team in raising funding necessary for Fastned to finance its ambitious growth. You do this, hand-in-hand with the rest of the team, and take a supporting yet central role within this team. Over the last few years, Fastned’s funding team realised a 150 million euro accelerated bookbuild, a 50 million euro partnership with French government bank CDC, a 75 million euro equity private placement with Schroders’ infrastructure fund and continues to run a highly successful retail bond program.

Key responsibilities of this role will be:

• Analyze and organise data, and prepare presentation materials for current and potential investors.

• Equity research analysts and the public equity market, with the ultimate goal of explaining the attractiveness of the Fastned business case.

• You will help present key topics and analyses which support our story and the story of fast charging, and regularly participate in meetings with external parties.

Fastned is a fast growing company but still has a relatively small funding & investor relationship team. The funding & investor relations team is led by the Head of F&IR and comprises two retail and one institutional manager. You will be directly reporting to the institutional manager, however you will also work collaboratively with the other teams and functions within Fastned.

Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role you bring along an analytical and proactive working style, combined with an entrepreneurial approach to problem solving. You are a true team player and, additionally, you tick the following boxes:

• Studying a masters degree in corporate finance, banking, economics or other adjacent fields in finance;

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Duch is a plus)

• Proficiency in making presentations: expertise in PowerPoint is a must;

• Proficiency in Excel. You are comfortable with understanding financial information and statements;

• Strong attention to detail;

• Experience with financial modelling or SQL is a plus;

• Prior work experience in, corporate finance, corporate banking and/or management consulting, or in the EV charging industry is considered a plus

We offer flexible working hours, ranging from 20 to 32 hours per week and for a minimum duration of 6 months. We understand that your studies require flexibility and will coordinate working hours in consultation with you, so that you can easily combine your work with your studies, but still work your hours from the office space in Amsterdam.
