Working Student - Accounts Payable Accountant

This role is based at our Amsterdam HQ, where you will join the Finance team as a Working Student in Accounts Payable. Reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Lead, you will support a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks across several entities.

Your work will include assisting with the processing of purchase invoices, reviewing open purchase orders, and communicating with departments such as Construction Management, Operations, and IT, as well as with suppliers, to resolve accounting or payment issues. You will help manage the AP email inbox to ensure all queries are handled efficiently, maintain accurate vendor master data in our systems, and provide general support to the team with ad-hoc tasks as they arise.

Job requirements

You are someone who takes the initiative and takes responsibility for the tasks assigned to you. A keen eye for detail and critical thinking will help you keep our financial records up to date and accurate. You should also meet the following criteria:

• Currently in the final year of your studies in finance, economics, or a related field;

• Available for 16 to 24 hours per week;

• Fluent in English (proficiency in other  European languages is a significant advantage);

• Detail-oriented, proactive and eager to learn.

• Strong multitasking skills.

• We offer flexible working hours, ranging from 18 to 24 hours per week for a minimum duration of 3 months.

• We understand that your studies require flexibility and will coordinate working hours in consultation with you, so that you can easily combine your work with your studies, but still work your hours from the office space in Amsterdam.

• You will be compensated with an hourly salary of €16,33 gross (including holiday pay).
