Your role

As our User Researcher, you drive continuous product discovery, lead quantitative and qualitative research projects, and embed the customer's voice in our product teams. Your work feeds into crafting solutions that lift the customer experience, are true painkillers to solve user problems, drive engagement, and deliver the extraordinary on every touchpoint.
Your scope of user research lies in the field of product, focused both externally on the electric vehicle driver, as well as internally on your Fastned colleagues, who are using in-house developed products to deliver the best charging experience. You will work as a member of the Product & Engineering UX team, side by side with scrum teams and various other stakeholders, advocating for the voice of the customer. Additionally, you will have opportunities to apply UX research techniques such as user interviews, usability testing, surveys, contextual inquiries, journey mapping, card sorting, A/B testing, solution validation, and data analysis to uncover actionable insights and improve user experiences.

Your overall responsibilities include

  • User research: you drive continuous discovery across the product development lifecycle.

  • User research strategy development and execution.

  • Leading and organising research planning from assumption to insight generation.

  • Embedding the voice of the customer in product teams, planning and initiatives.

  • Supporting user testing and solution validation in conjunction with Product Design.

  • Taking ownership of embedding and advocating user needs through digital user personas and journey development.

  • Driving quantitative and qualitative research efforts in conjunction with key stakeholders.

  • Collaborating with our Data & Insights and Commercial teams to drive informed decision-making.

  • Improving research methods and embedding best practices in the product development lifecycle.

You have a passion for experimentation, using a data-driven approach to (in)validating new ideas.

Additionally, you tick (some of) the following boxes:

  • You have 3+ years experience as a User Researcher or a similar role (e.g. UI/UX or Product Design), with a focus on user research and driving continuous discovery in a product context;

  • Storytelling and presentation skills to communicate insights clearly and effectively;

  • You know your way around applying qualitative and quantitative research methods and have a proven track record around building research stack & practice, e.g. through workshops, stakeholder sessions and other opportunities for embedding the voice of the customer;

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (A11Y) and inclusive research practices;

  • You have a strong affinity with the energy transition and the Fastned mission to create freedom for electric drivers;

  • Since this role involves significant direct user contact, outstanding communication in English is required.
