Your role
As Retail Facilities Manager, you’ll be responsible for how we operate and maintain our growing network of shops and retail assets across multiple countries. You’ll act as the bridge between retail, field operations, network infrastructure, and procurement — making sure every location looks great, runs efficiently, and meets our standards.
Since this is a brand-new role you’ll be focussing on establishing the facilities services that support our retail experience from scratch. From setting up scalable maintenance processes and structuring supplier contracts to ensuring clear ways of working, you’ll create the foundation that keeps our operations consistent and future-proof.
Your work enables our stores across Europe to act quickly and confidently — while keeping quality high and costs under control.
What you’ll do
Set up and manage facilities and maintenance strategies for our current and future shops across Europe.
Lead procurement processes for services and equipment — from landscaping and waste handling to seating, signage, and installations.
Negotiate and manage supplier contracts and framework agreements, ensuring responsiveness, quality, and cost-efficiency.
Map and manage our retail assets: track what’s built at each site (and by whom), and ensure it’s maintained consistently.
Establish fast-response procedures for maintenance needs — with clear ownership, escalation paths, and SLAs.
Align stakeholders across Retail, Field Operations, and Network Operations, making sure roles and workflows are clearly defined.
Integrate retail shops into existing Fastned contracts (cleaning, waste, maintenance), to create synergies and avoid duplication.
Support Area Managers with tools, service partners, and contract access to resolve local issues independently.
Track and analyse performance data, turning insights into process improvements, cost control, and service upgrades.
Job requirements
What do you bring?
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in retail, facility management, or operations.
Experience in contract management, supplier coordination, and cost optimization.
Strong analytical and process-oriented skills.
Experience in setting up new processes in a fast-growing organization.
Strong communicator, able to switch between different disciplines and levels.
Fluent in Dutch and English.
Experience in an international environment is a plus
