Job description
Join Fastned at the forefront of the electric vehicle and charging infrastructure revolution in Europe! As our Public Affairs Manager, you’ll join a passionate team dedicated to fostering a purpose-driven, informal workplace where employees thrive while making a difference for our planet. At Fastned you can directly contribute to combating climate change by accelerating the transition to electric mobility. Together with 300+ colleagues from over 40 nationalities, spread across 10 countries, we have the ambition to build a European network of fast charging stations. We focus on prime locations where electric drivers can charge their vehicles with energy from the sun and wind. What sets us apart is our focus on reliability, sustainability and clean energy. We have recently been awarded “Best Charging Network” in the UK, France and the Netherlands, further establishing Fastned as the leading player in the field. If you’re ready to drive change in the energy transition, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact!
This role is a sickness cover for 1 year. The assignment is inhouse employment (not freelance), with a start date as soon as possible, concluding one year from the start date.
Your role
We are bringing a Public Affairs Manager on board who wants to play a leading role in advising local governments on policies and regulations to promote the zero-emission infrastructure of the future. You will join the team at our headquarters in Amsterdam and at the same time be part of an international team of Public Affairs experts within Fastned. You will work closely with the Senior Manager Public Affairs and other Fastned teams including Legal, Communications and Network Development to ensure a coordinated and strategic approach.
What does success look like?
You will help Fastned to find opportunities for new locations together with local governments, primarily focused on provinces, cities and towns within the Netherlands.
You will share our vision of the enabling conditions needed to build high-quality fast charging stations for electric vehicle drivers. The market for electric vehicles is developing rapidly, and along with it the demand for fast charging.
You will be our eyes and ears at the local level, paving the way for our expansion on off-highway locations.
You will anticipate and closely follow policy and market developments related to electric vehicles and fast charging, and develop and implement strategy for how to achieve our public affairs objectives.
You will closely cooperate with municipalities and provinces and identify opportunities at the regional and local level to improve policies and public tenders for fast charging. You will make and maintain contacts with important stakeholders at regional and national level and help us accelerate the rollout of fast charging stations.
