The Role

As a Payroll Specialist at Fastned, you’ll help ensure that our colleagues across Europe are paid accurately and on time. You’ll join our payroll team in Amsterdam, working closely with another Payroll Specialist and reporting to the Payroll Lead. Together, you’ll manage payroll operations across multiple countries, in close collaboration with our People Operations and Finance teams.

Your day-to-day will be a mix of operational tasks and internal support. You’ll review and process payroll data, handle monthly journal entries in NetSuite, and take care of reconciliations. You’ll also be the go-to person for payroll-related questions from colleagues, responding via our Jira ticketing system with accuracy and care. Maintaining employee records and supporting audits and reports will also be part of your regular responsibilities.

Who You Are

You’re accurate, trustworthy, and have a natural head for numbers. You enjoy working in a dynamic, international environment and are eager to learn and grow. You handle sensitive information with care and always strive to provide excellent service.

You bring:

• 2+ years of experience in international payroll

• A solid accounting background and strong numerical skills

• Excellent written and spoken English

• Fluency in German is a strong plus; Dutch is a nice-to-have

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proactive mindset and fast learning ability

• Experience with Excel and payroll software is a plus

• A high level of discretion when handling confidential information

• Great interpersonal and communication skills
