Your role

As‬‭ the‬‭ IT‬‭ Business‬‭ Consultant, ‬‭you‬‭ are‬‭ responsible‬‭ for‬‭ bridging‬‭ the‬‭ gap‬‭ between‬‭ technology‬, business‬‭ processes‬‭ and people. You will be a part of the Centre of Organisational Excellence to further improve and foster Fastned’s Business Systems.

You‬‭ analyse‬‭ and‬‭ advise‬‭ on‬‭ cross-departmental business‬‭ processes,‬ identify‬‭ requirements‬‭ and‬‭ determine‬‭ areas‬‭ for‬‭ improvement,‬‭ and‬‭ propose‬‭ technology‬‭ solutions‬‭ to‬‭ enhance‬‭ the‬‭ teams’‬‭ efficiency‬‭ and‬‭ effectiveness.‬‭ This‬‭ role‬‭ requires‬‭ a‬‭ blend‬‭ of‬‭ technical‬‭ expertise,‬‭ project‬‭ and‬‭ stakeholder‬‭ management‬‭ as‬‭ well‬‭ as‬‭ business‬‭ acumen‬‭ to‬ translate business requirements into actionable IT solutions.‬

‭Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:‬

  • Collaborate‬‭ with‬‭ business‬‭ stakeholders‬‭ to‬‭ gather‬‭ and‬‭ understand‬‭ their‬‭ requirements,‬ objectives,‬‭ and‬‭ needs.‬‭

  • Map‬‭ and‬‭ analyse‬‭ business‬‭ processes‬‭ and‬‭ workflows‬‭ and‬‭ identify areas for improvement, and optimization and automation.‬

  • Manage an overview of the system landscapes (Oracle‬‭ Netsuite,‬‭ Salesforce,‬‭ etc.)‬‭ and how different solutions align with each other.‬

  • Work‬‭ with‬‭ (external)‬‭ development‬‭ teams‬‭ to‬‭ design‬‭ and‬‭ refine‬‭ IT‬‭ solutions‬‭ based‬‭ on‬ the‬‭ business‬‭ requirements‬‭ and‬‭ technical‬‭ constraints.‬‭ Develop‬‭ use‬‭ cases‬‭ and‬‭ user‬‭ stories.‬

  • Organise‬‭ meetings‬‭ and‬‭ workshops‬‭ with‬‭ the‬‭ internal‬‭ and‬‭ external‬‭ stakeholders‬‭ and‬ facilitate the communication between different roles.‬

  • Assist‬‭ in‬‭ developing‬‭ and‬‭ implementing‬‭ change‬‭ management‬‭ strategies‬‭ to‬‭ ensure‬‭ the‬ smooth adoption of new solutions within the organisation.‬

Who we are looking for

While being tech and business savvy, you also have a creative side of you that helps you explore various approaches. You also bring along the following:

  • 2 to 5 years of work experience in similar role focusing on Business Systems Excellence

  • Business acumen: Ability to understand the business goals, objectives, processes, and strategies of an organisation like Fastned.‬

  • Technical proficiency: a basic understanding and affinity of IT concepts and‬ technologies. You‬ are able to comprehend technical jargon and understand the feasibility of IT‬ solutions‬.

  • Analytical skills: Ability to analyse and understand business problems and processes.‬

  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and translate them into actionable IT‬ solutions.‬

  • Problem-solving: Ability to identify and solve business challenges using IT solutions.‬

  • Project management: Basic project management skills, including the ability to create‬ project plans, track progress, and manage timelines and resources.‬

The role starts with 12 months fixed contract.
