Interim AP Accountant

As our Interim Accounts Payable Accountant, you will step in and take ownership of day-to-day AP activities across multiple entities. Thanks to your hands on experience and solid understanding of AP processes and systems, you can hit the ground running from day one.

Your responsibilities as our new Interim Accounts Payable Accountant include:

• Process purchase invoices (PO and non PO) in an accurate and timely manner; 

• Liaise with internal departments (e.g., Construction Management, Operations, IT) or suppliers  to resolve discrepancies;

• Process daily bank statements and perform monthly reviews of the accounts payable aging report;

• Maintain the accuracy of vendor master data;

• Assist in maintaining organized financial records, including sales invoices and accounts receivable documentation;

• Actively participate in process improvement projects and system implementations;

• Support the accounting team with month-end closing activities, VAT return preparation, and documentation for the annual audit;

• Perform other ad-hoc financial tasks as assigned.

Who are we looking for

You will fit perfect to Fastned if you are someone that takes initiative & ownership in your work. Working in a fast-moving environment where not everything is set in stone is something that energizes you. You don’t just process invoices, you spot inefficiencies, suggest improvements, and keep things running smoothly.

You bring:

• 4+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience, ideally in a fast-growing or scale-up environment (multi-entity experience is a big plus);

• Completed training or education in accounting, finance, or a related field;

• Fluency in English and Dutch (spoken and written);

• Strong experience with ERP systems, NetSuite experience is an advantage

• You feel comfortable navigating change and evolving processes;

• A proactive, solution-oriented

• Strong stakeholder management and multitasking skills
