Fastned is on a mission to accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility by building a European network of fast-charging stations for electric vehicles. We are looking for our first ever Fleet Manager to oversee and optimize our fleet of over 120 lease cars for employees across Europe. This is a key role in ensuring that our vehicle fleet aligns with our sustainability values, operational efficiency, and employee satisfaction.

What you will be doing:

• Fleet Management: Optimize the usage and utilization of Fastned’s electric vehicle fleet, ensuring the right balance of vehicles to meet both employee and company needs. You’ll think two steps ahead- planning how a departing employee’s EV can be reassigned effectively. You’ll also monitor and mitigate risks related to fleet safety, maintenance, and liability.

• Fleet Administration and Coordination: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our fleet across Europe, including ordering vehicles, managing handovers, rentals, insurance, and maintenance schedules. Maintain accurate records of all fleet vehicles, and promptly update the Payroll team with any changes.

• Advising Employees on their EV Choice: Guide colleagues in selecting the best EV for their needs. Using our car policy as a foundation, you’ll consider factors such as range and specifications. Staying informed on EV market developments will be key.

• Car Policy Alignment: Ensure compliance with our current car policy while collaborating with the People team to adapt and localize policies for various European markets. Keep policies aligned with the latest market trends and requirements.

• Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with leasing companies, insurers, rental providers, and service partners to secure competitive contracts and high-quality services. Act as the main contact for employees with lease car-related queries, ensuring a seamless experience and keeping connected departments informed of updates.

What You'll Bring:

• Fluency in English and proficiency in Dutch (strongly preferred), with German and/or French being a plus.

• Possession of a valid EU driver’s license.

• A genuine passion for electric vehicles and at least a good basic understanding of the EV market based on personal interest.

• First experiences in fleet management, leasing, or a related field, ideally in a multinational setting.

• Solid knowledge of fleet operations, leasing contracts, and vehicle management.

• Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to optimize processes.

• Effective communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with vendors and engage with employees.

• Familiarity with navigating and complying with legal and regulatory frameworks across Europe.
