About the role

As our Events Manager, you will be in the driver’s seat, developing our PR and communication strategy when it comes to external events and our own events. You will act as the expert overseeing event planning across the company, working closely with cross-functional departments such as Investor Relations, B2B, and Consumer Marketing. You will report directly to our Head of PR & Communications.

You will be part of the PR & Communications team, which plays a key role in shaping and sharing Fastned’s story — proactively creating campaigns, building our messaging framework, following the news cycle, and driving media attention through initiatives such as customer research. At the same time, you will serve as the key contact for our local PR Managers in the markets, working closely to establish Fastned’s brand positioning via events. In practice, this means you will be based in headquarters in Amsterdam, while also being flexible to travel and visit the other markets when necessary.

You will develop an event strategy covering a wide range of topics related to Fastned, the energy transition, and the charging industry for diverse audiences — supporting market PR managers in building and positioning Fastned as a thought leader in these markets. Alongside your work in the new markets, you will collaborate across departments to design an event strategy that includes both external industry events and Fastned’s own events.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the company-wide external event strategy and create a toolkit for other departments on how and where to be present.

  • Lead the planning and delivery of the different events ( in person, hybrid or virtual events) tailored to our different audiences: Media, Consumers, B2B, Governments etc.

  • Collaborate with other departments such as: Investor & Relationships, Public Affairs, HR, and local market teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment

  • Monitor event performance, collect feedback, and provide post-event analysis and recommendations so we can learn for the next event.

  • Establish a process for Fastned’s own controlled events, such as investor & relationship events, media events, Driver events and internal culture events.

What you bring:

You are intrinsically motivated by Fastned’s mission to accelerate the transition to electric mobility and are curious about the latest industry developments. You inspire both internal and external audiences and create momentum for Fastned and the transition.

In addition, you you bring:

  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in event production and event management

  • Proven track record of delivering complex events with executive-level visibility

  • Excellent project management and multitasking abilities

  • A self-starting, hands-on, results-driven mentality

  • Driver License valid in Europe

  • Excellent communication skills in English
