Together with more than 270 colleagues, spread over 9 countries, we are building the best fast charging network in Europe, where electric car drivers can charge their vehicles with energy from the sun and wind. We are an internal team of architects, among numerous other disciplines in the company, and have full control over our product and design. The interdisciplinary teams work closely together to further advance electromobility and give our clients a first-class charging experience.

Your role

As the Design Manager, you will contribute to the company's success with strategic and creative thinking, by building a team and delivering station designs for the best customer experience. You and your team will integrate our modular Fastned stations in potential sites near the highway and inspire them to come up with creative solutions to design and acquire new locations.

You will primarily be responsible for managing the team of architects in Belgium. Our expansion managers will bring in new location leads and you will focus on delivering station designs for the different stages of a project: from initial sketch and site investigation, to obtaining building permits from regional and local authorities. Our in-house architects detail out the execution package, and you will also oversee the plans and construction details for our contractors. You are expected to go on site visits with the team and construction managers to see your beautiful projects being built!

Your role as Design Manager is crucial to our multidisciplinary team. During your daily activities, you will mainly spend time with our local Belgian team and will work closely with our expansion and construction managers. You will also be in contact with our designers in Germany, The Netherlands, UK, Switzerland and France. Become part of a young, innovative and growing company in the e-mobility sector. Who we are looking for

We are looking for a design professional to take responsibility for the Location Design team in Belgium. You are convinced of the importance of branding and visual identity and you can apply traffic safety regulations to your own design proposals. You are goal-oriented and at the same time a true team player, able to navigate successfully in complex team dynamics and thriving for productivity. You take initiative and work independently with confidence. You are not afraid to make mistakes and you always want to keep learning. "Think like a founder" is a statement you recognize yourself in. In addition, you also meet the following requirements:

• A Masters degree; design affinity is a plus
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant management experience;
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A good level of strategic thinking and vision
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the talent to develop a motivated team
• Organisational competencies and the ability to continuously improve internal processes
• Fluent Dutch and English at a professional level;
• High motivation to accelerate the energy transition.
