Your role

Fastned is expanding its network of fast charging stations in Belgium and is looking to strengthen the local team with a Construction Manager. As Construction Manager, you will be an integral part of an experienced and international team and responsible for delivering high-quality charging stations across Belgium, with a main focus on Wallonia. In this role, you will work in close cooperation with the architects, the project managers, the network development managers, and our external construction partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

• The planning of construction (reviewing execution drawings, defining specifications, tendering works and scheduling the delivery of goods),

• Overseeing change management and resolving issues on-site during execution,

• Supervising construction quality, health & safety compliance, site acceptance, and final account closure.

As such, you will frequently be on our construction sites, where you will be able to demonstrate negotiation skills, commercial judgement, setting high quality standards and the ability to manage a larger number of projects and stakeholders in parallel.

You can work from home and in a co-working space in Brussels. Apart from that, you'll regularly visit our office in Ghent to work together with the team. In order for you to be flexible in your job we will provide you with a fully electric company car. 

Electric mobility is new territory for you? No problem! As part of your onboarding, you will participate in a series of exciting workshops where you will learn everything important about electric mobility and fast charging infrastructure. Who we are looking for

You are a real team player and you have the ability to think on your own feet - you feel comfortable taking initiative and responsibility. You are not afraid to make mistakes and you are always keen to keep on learning. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

• A degree in a technical field, preferably with expertise in architecture, construction, electrical engineering, or civil engineering;

• A minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a similar role;

• Excellent organisational and structural skills and a high level of initiative;

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities;

• Fluent in French and English (Dutch is a plus);

• A valid driver’s license;

• An eye for detail and commitment to high-quality work.
