⚡️Your role

As an architect, you contribute to the success of the company with your creative and spatial thinking, providing station designs that excel in customer experience and that integrate our modular Fastned station in the service areas along the highways. In the coming year, you will expand your area of intervention from sketch design to the permitting and execution of new stations.

You will be mainly responsible for the station design of new sites, from the initial sketch, site investigation, permitting with regional and local authorities. You will also detail out the execution package for the construction of our stations in Belgium, making sure that all our stations fit our most recent design requirements.

Your role as Architect is crucial to our multidisciplinary team. In your day to day job, you will spend most of your time with our local Belgian team, consisting of other architects, network developers and construction managers. Besides that, you will also be connected to our architects in Germany, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Switzerland and France. Our super nice office is located close to Watersportbaan, in Ghent. ⚡️Who we are looking for

We are searching for an architect willing to take responsibility from initial designs to the permitting and execution phase of our locations in Belgium, especially in Flanders. As a designer, you are familiar with the importance of branding and visual identity, and you can apply traffic safety regulations in your design proposals. You are a real team player and you have the ability to think on your own feet - you feel comfortable taking initiative and working independently. You are not afraid to make mistakes and you are always keen to keep on learning. “Think like a founder” is something you identify easily with. 

Additionally, you tick the following boxes:
💥 2-5 years of experience;
💥 You are a Revit expert;
💥 You feel comfortable discussing projects with authorities;
💥 You know your way around permit procedures in Flanders;
💥 You are creative, additional value if you can make great visuals;
💥 You speak Dutch and English on a business level;
💥 You are highly motivated by accelerating the energy transition.
