In this role you will contribute to achieving our goal of building a European network of 1,000 large fast-charging stations in prime locations where electric drivers can charge their vehicles with energy from the sun and wind.


Fastned is expanding its network of fast charging stations in Belgium and is looking to strengthen the local team with a (Senior) Construction Project Manager. As Construction Project Manager you will be an integral part of an experienced and international team and you will be responsible for delivering high quality charging stations across Belgium. In this role, you are working in close cooperation with the architect, the project manager and the network development manager as well as with our external construction partners.

Your responsibilities include the planning of construction, such as checking execution drawings, defining specifications, and scheduling both works and delivery of goods.  Additionally, you will be in charge of change management and problem solving during the execution, and the supervision of works (quality, health and safety, site acceptance & final accounts). As such, you will frequently be on our construction sites, where you will be able to demonstrate negotiation skills, commercial judgement, setting high quality standards and the ability to manage a larger number of projects and stakeholders in parallel.

Our office is conveniently located at the Martelaarslaan in Ghent. In order for you to be flexible in your job we will provide you with a fully electric company car. Electric mobility is new territory for you? No problem! As part of your onboarding, you will participate in a series of exciting workshops where you will learn everything important about electric mobility and fast charging infrastructure. Job requirements

You are a real team player and you have the ability to think on your own feet - you feel comfortable taking initiative and responsibility. You are not afraid to make mistakes and you are always keen to keep on learning. “Think like a founder” is something you identify easily with. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

Must haves:

  • You hold a relevant degree, e.g. in civil engineering (or an equivalent experience);
  • A minimum of three years of previous experience in a similar role (preferably at a construction or civil works company);
  • Excellent organisational skills and a high level of initiative;
  • Ability to work in a structured manner and prioritise your tasks efficiently, you have an eye for detail;
  • Willingness to travel within BeNeLux;
  • (Near-)native level of Dutch and fluency in English are a must;
  • Driver’s licence;

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with construction along highways;
  • Proficiency in French.
