Together with our more than 140 colleagues of over 35 nationalities, we enable EV drivers around Europe to fast-charge their vehicle with renewable energy and lead the way in making mobility sustainable. In this role you will drive the growth of our locations, as our goal is a European network of 1,000 fast charging stations on prime locations. Fastned is a listed scaleup company and is currently active in six countries (head office in Amsterdam and offices in Belgium, Germany, the UK, France and Switzerland).

As Expansion Lead Belgium, you will be responsible for the strategy behind the expansion of our Belgian fast charging locations as well as for leading and building our Belgian expansion team. New locations are the main goal for you and your team: from scouting new properties, developing strong partnerships, to successfully closing deals. You will oversee and lead key real estate transactions and negotiations, while embodying Fastned's vision and mission. You will be part of a professional, international team and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (such as architects, site partners, landowners, municipalities) to drive new site development.

You understand the link between local developments and the global strategy of our company, are a strong communicator and can proactively contribute to the further development of our company strategy.

This role will be based in our Ghent office, where you will become part of a fun & diverse team. Job requirements

In order to be successful in this role you have to be convincing, a real networker with outstanding people skills. You bring along extensive experience in high growth environments. You find the right balance between strategic thinking, commercial judgment and the drive to make a difference. You like to negotiate and love to manage projects until they are successfully completed. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

  • At least 8 years of relevant work experience;
  • Experience in building teams;
  • Plus points for previous experience in high growth companies or renewable energy;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English (French is a plus);
  • Open for regular travel within Belgium and Amsterdam;
  • You are highly motivated by accelerating the energy transition.

The recruitment process consists of 4 stages:

  • A video call with one of our recruiters to find out more about Fastned & our company culture;
  • A first interview with our Director of Network Development to get a full understanding of the role;
  • A case-assignment to be presented in the second (in person-) interview with some future Network Development colleagues & the ND Director;
  • A visit to our Amsterdam headquarters to meet our CEO Michiel & other stakeholders.
