With more than 140 colleagues of over 35 nationalities, we have the ambition to build the best fast charging network across Europe with beautiful, large and scalable charging stations. We contribute to the fight against climate change by accelerating the transition to electric mobility. Fastned is growing fast and is currently present in six countries including Amsterdam as its headquarters, offices in Belgium, Germany, the UK, Switzerland and France.
As a Commercial Development Manager, you will join our international Network Development team to drive Fastned's growth. You will develop our network of charging stations in Belgium with a regional focus on Wallonia and Brussels. You will contribute to our mission by securing new locations: from scouting sites, developing new business relationships to signing contracts. You will be part of a team of international experts and align with internal stakeholders such as architects, construction experts and data intelligence teams. You will also develop crucial external relationships to expand our network, such as brokers, land owners and local governments to enable the development of new locations.

We are looking for candidates who would like to join this effort and are excited about developing and implementing effective strategies to open up new regions and get access to more locations. You have an eye for the changing market and know when to seize the right opportunities.
This position will be based in our Gent office, where you will be part of a diverse and fun team. Working outside of Ghent is not a problem, but you are expected to be in the office regularly. As part of your integration to Fastned, you will participate in a series of workshops to learn all about electric mobility and fast charging infrastructure. You will work closely with other teams at our various European locations, and you will have the unique opportunity to learn a lot about our future industry, where you can make a real impact!
You are results-oriented, a good communicator and able to project Fastned's vision and values. You have a good balance of strategic thinking, business judgment and commercial drive. You like to negotiate and see projects through to completion. We're growing and you fit right in with a high degree of independence, a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done, and a willingness to move fast. In addition, you check off the following boxes:
3+ years of relevant work experience;
A bachelor’s/master’s degree;
Real estate development experience and local real estate regulation knowledge is a plus;
Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English. Dutch is considered a plus ;
Strong analytical, project management and influencing skills;
High degree of independence combined with an action-oriented mentality;
Open to regular travel in Belgium and Europe;
Availability to join Fastned on a full-time basis - we will not consider freelance

The recruitment process consists of 4 stages:
- A video call with one of our recruiters to find out more about Fastned & our company culture;
- A first interview with our Director of Network Development to get a full understanding of the role;
- A case-assignment to be presented in the second (in person-) interview with some future Network Development colleagues, followed up by a meet-up with the Belgian team.
